A boundary survey is strongly recommended for anyone considering purchasing a property, subdividing land or making other types of upgrades to the land where construction is required.

Boundary definition is an integral part of Australia’s Torrens Title System, where virtually all properties are guaranteed. This gives you, the land owner, security in all your property dealings. Should you need to develop a property that only has a limited guarantee, you will be required to complete a primary application to define the boundary before the development can be finalised. This ensures that not only are your land rights protected but so are those of adjoining properties.

Once boundary definition has been completed, we can then show on a plan any easements or encroachments affecting the land, as well as any improvements close to the boundary, such as dwellings or fences. These will need to be taken into account when subdividing land as will proposed locations of new structures to be constructed.

Property boundaries may also need to be established by registered surveyors in Sydney in cases where a fence is being built on or near a boundary, there is a dispute between neighbours over boundaries, an owner is subdividing land or a lending institution requests a survey.
